BIRMINGHAM – Vulcan Imaging Associates (VIA) is proud to announce its new partnership with UAB Hospital. “We’re very honored that UAB has turned to Vulcan Imaging to support them in their patient care efforts,” says Vulcan Imaging CEO Eric Blackman. “UAB is well known as a world-class facility and a true leader in the State of Alabama.” With the new partnership, UAB will have the ability to utilize the services of VIA whenever needed, 24 hours per day. “We at Vulcan Imaging will continue to do what we do, and they can focus on their missions of being leaders in the fields of clinical medicine, teaching, and research,” says Blackman. “We look forward to growing this relationship more and more in the years to come.”

UAB has approximately 40 doctors in their radiology department and through this partnership, Vulcan Imaging will support them throughout the night, standing ready to provide final reads for ICU patients whenever needed. Both Vulcan Imaging and UAB have taken steps to ensure a smooth patient experience. “We’ve integrated our cutting-edge PACS System (Picture Archiving and Communication System) with UAB’s computer network, ensuring seamless continuity of patient care,” says Blackman.
